Sloop rental in Dinteloord

Welcome to Marina Waterside. Nice of you to come and sail! 

Here are some rules and tips for while boating: 

• When leaving the harbor, calmly sail away: the boat reacts a little slower so don't give too much throttle right away, but calmly sail away from the dock.  
• On the water, keep to the right, but do not sail too close to the shore 
• Professional boats, canoes, sup's and sailboats have priority 
• Avoid sailing through water plants or too close to fishermen. When something gets into the propeller, the boat will stop or slow down. 

Electric sloop:  

• When using the swim ladder, make sure the throttle is in position 0 and press the red emergency stop. The propeller will then stop. 
   

In case of any problems: 

• The boats will go slower and slower throughout the day as the batteries get depleted. But when the boat comes from normal cruising speed suddenly slower, then there may be something in the screw. Proceed as follows:  

1. Move throttle lever to position 0 and wait 5 sec 
2. Put throttle in full reverse for 5 seconds until boat is in reverse 
3. Return throttle lever to position 0 and wait 5 seconds 
4. Put throttle back gently into its forward position. 

Repeat this step as necessary. This is how you make sure that aquatic plants, among other things, get out of the screw. 

• If the boat suddenly fails while sailing, the main reason is often that the engine has overheated. This usually happens when sailing for a long time with something in the propeller. The important thing then is to turn the throttle to position 0 and then press the emergency stop. Wait 5 minutes and turn the emergency stop slightly to the right so that it clicks back. Then slowly (5 sec) sail backwards a bit and then slowly sail forward. Do not go full throttle immediately, as the engine is still cooling down. 
• Loud noise from the propeller/engine: this is usually due to the little weight in the rear; the propeller then sucks in air, solution: move luggage and/or people to the rear.  

Keep a close eye on how much sailing time you have left and make sure you return on time. This way you will not run into extra costs and the next cruise can leave on time.  

When leaving the boat, do not forget your valuables. You can dispose of your trash in the trash can near the dock. 

Minimum age: 18 years old 

The captain must be sober at all times.

No boating license required

Electric: 

Are you done sailing? Stop your booking as soon as the boat is back in at the dock. This stops the meter of your sailing time and allows the next renter to leave.  

When leaving the boat, do not forget your valuables. You can dispose of your trash in the trash can near the dock. 

Of course, we want sunshine during a day of sloop boating. In case of rain or thunderstorms you can change your booking to another date free of charge. 

Our sloops are located at Jachthaven Waterkant. Sasdijk 2, 4671RN in Dinteloord.

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on the sloops.

We charge a deposit of €100 per sloop.
